There’s nothing like trance to get party peeps, well, into a trance. It has been around for a long time now, giving clubbers years and years of enjoyment. Now the UK act the Thrillseekers are heading to Melbourne to celebrate the best of the last 15 years of trance at the Prince Bandroom in St Kilda.
Melbourne’s bar scene is renowned throughout the bar scenes of both Australia and the world, and for good reason. One man across the globe who certainly noticed this was Reg Ridealgh, a London bartender who moved to Melbourne and now calls it home. His years of being a bartender inspired him to open his own bar in St Kilda called Love & Dysfunction.
If you are from Melbourne, y’all might remember a little thing called SUPERDISCO. SD was Prince of Wales on a Saturday night and was lots of fun when it was kicking around circa 2010-2011 until it got closed down.
Usually around the end of the year, compilation albums like So Fresh or Ministry Of Sound will be released and music video shows will play the hottest 50 songs with all the musical highlights of the past season or year on a CD (or digital download if you think CDs are “so 2001!”). You obviously enjoyed these songs if you brought the album, so you’d friggin’ love it live at a nightclub!
One thing we can expect every summer are a heap of festivals, so therefore plenty of top live music acts ready to play for tons of people. The St Kilda Festival is happening this weekend, and at the heart of it is The Espy, always up for a great party. And what a party it has lined up this year!
