No doubt the biggest event of the year is coming up. You’ll need a place to go, a new outfit and of course a breath mint for the inevitable midnight kiss, whoever it may be with. They say that the way your spend New Years Eve is a reflection of how you’ll spend your whole year, so it best be something amazing!
Ahhh Christmas. A time when families come together and try to resolve fights and differences for a holiday that has been commercialised. Whether it’s Christmas lunch at your nan’s or crazy aunty’s, or a fabulous dining experience on the harbour, let’s face it; you’re going to want to drink just to get through it.
With mass events looming such as Christmas parties and family gatherings, end of year birthdays and New Years Eve celebrations, there are going to be a few of you that get left with the disappointed friend favour of being designated driver. Unfortunately, everyone has to do it once in a while and whether it means having a couple of drinks or none at all for all you P platers, there are some benefits of being designated driver. Star Bar opened its renovated doors last week to reveal a whole new decor that what we have previously known. The grungy bar has transformed their upper level into a gorgeous club experience. While still being scanned with a metal detector upon entry (yes, those are just my keys), the middle and lower level combine plenty of seating areas and pool tables for a chilled night out or pre-drinks before a big event. But up the stairs, Level One adds a whole new glitzy glam that George Street has never known.

In a girl’s life, there are few things that will compare to her love for shoes. Chocolate and puppies will come close, but they cannot compare to matching your new shoes to your outfit. Love with a man is somewhere way down the list. This is one of the reasons why, no matter how much pain you are in, girls will wear heels.
This weekend, thousands of fake tanned, waxed and barely clothed boys and girls (Yes! Boys AND girls) will compare selfies while popping pills and checking out each others’ muscle tone. That’s right! It’s Stereosonic!
Everyone loves a bit of fun on their night out, and I personally find this totally acceptable. Keep the drinks flowing and the lights off and get drunk and dance. Do whatever drugs you want, blah blah, we’re young, you know the drill. Yeah, going out is great. But come on boys, how fucked are you when you’re talking to a girl? You’ve gotta be smart if you’re too drunk and pick one that is also too drunk so she won’t care what you’re saying.

Having lived in South West Sydney my whole life, it has come to my attention that local nightspots are becoming increasingly popular and popping up, especially in Campbelltown. Not to say I’m disappointed. With renovations and redecorating, the local spots in the South West are crowded and happening, especially on Thursday and Friday nights.
