Yes, this may be controversial and yes, this may be a no bullshit post about dressing to the body size you were given (or have gained) and yes, I may hurt some feelings, but this topic is way overdue. Will I be called a bitch for saying this? Yeah probably, but let’s be honest, girl power isn’t real and everyone is looking at you.
As summer has rolled around, outfits are getting smaller and more skin is on show. Actually, let’s be honest, skin is out all year round in Sydney and it’s time for someone to speak up about dressing for the size of your body, not your best friend’s.
Bigger girls need to realise, that yes, love your body and try not to care what people think, but just know that people are judging. There is never a place in the city to go where people don’t judge you; it’s just human nature. This is just a gentle reminder that if you’re wearing a crop top and you’re not in the best shape, maybe it would be better to wear something more fitted to your size.
Yes, I know, people will be saying we don’t care what people think, but trust me, people are thinking it. You should be comfortable in what you’re wearing and not have the uncomfortable feeling of all eyes being on you for the wrong reason. Not only that, but everyone gets sweaty in the club. We don’t want to see sweat that gets stuck in tummy rolls.
This is the nicest way I can put this, but girls, if your outfit is so tight and revealing that it causes a muffin top and back rolls, not matter if you’re an 8 or an 18, just ditch and go with something that compliments your size.
Kind and heartfelt post over. Back to talking about getting drunk.
