While Oktoberfest is filled with girls in German outfits and many beer ads feature beautiful women, it has come to my attention that there are many mixed opinions on girls actually consuming beer. Traditionally a male’s drink, beer is more commonly consumed by women now as well. I’ve narrowed down the categories of people who have opinions about women drinking beer to 5 categories.
Sometimes it’s hard when opposites attract in relationships. You like to go out and drink and have fun and your partner isn’t into that. It might not even be opposites, it might be that your partner is working or that they’re sick or even that they’ve grown out of their clubbing phase and you’re still in the midst of it.
If your long weekend was anything like mine, you will be feeling slightly like poo on this cold winter Tuesday. If you don’t, then you’ve wasted your long weekend until October. While being able to party an extra day on the weekend is fab, it can take a toll on your body especially in winter. Here are my tips for recovery for you four day week.
Whenever my friends and I go out for a night of drinking, we always take photos throughout the night. Mostly, we forget about these photos for a few days after and then go through them and laugh at our hilariousness (actually our messiness). As a courtesy of our friendship, we usually delete unflattering photos or keep them to laugh at secretly together.
When I go clubbing, I don’t like to be rude to the guys that make moves on me, mainly because I care about feelings. But sometimes there’s no other option to the guy who has grabbed onto your arm while you’re walking past. Or the one who comes up behind you when you’re dancing and puts his hand around your waist and won’t let go.
I’ve always been told that I seem much older than 18. Many of my friends from uni were absolutely shocked to know that I was only 18 and they thought I was kidding. I’ve always hung out with older people; always being the youngest, I didn’t really have a choice. I have an older sister, I have older friends (my best friend is 20) and even my partner is 3 and a half years older than me.
That’s right, love is no longer the battlefield. The physical pain of clubbing, in my books, has over taken the wounds of love. Yes, love hurts, but has love ever kicked you in the foot while wearing ten shot heels? Has love ever elbowed you in the tit or punched you in the face? Poked an eye out?
On an ordinary night out, yes I would usually be drinking. I was all over the vodka lemonades and wet pussy shots, dancing like Beyonce and getting home when it was daylight. But as the nights get darker and the air is colder, I’ve swapped the heels for boots and the alcohol for my car keys and been the designated driver doing good deeds for my friends on a night out.
There’s a trend I’ve been noticing recently and it’s had me very impressed and a little confused at the same time. This trend has caught me by surprise, but I have to say that I really enjoyed watching. For the past three weeks, I’ve noticed that boys are dancing with themselves and with each other, working on their moves and dancing really well.
Mother’s Day is coming up and if you’re anything like me, you have no idea what your mum might want to do. Mother’s Day should be about bonding, and what’s a better way to bond then to let your mum into your world and take her for drinks at your local bar or tavern.
