Returning for another year of week-long celebrations, Melbourne Music week returns on the 16th of November to celebrate Victoria’s new and not so new musical talents. More than just a line up of gigs, MMW provides seven days of killer events centred around Melbourne’s beaming music culture.
Promising concerts in unconventional spaces, left of centre artist collaborations, industry events, and even the odd film screening, this year’s line up is not to be missed.
While this year’s program is yet to be confirmed, 2011 boasted the likes of over 170 independent acts, 70 creative events and 40 curious locations.
Australian sensations Cut Copy and Midnight Juggernaights pumped up the volume with international icons The Gaslamp Killers (USA), Die Vogel (GER) and even Wax Tailor (FRA) in 2011.
If history is to repeat itself, Melbourne will play host to the hottest acts of 2012 during November.
Stay up to date with the line-up and be sure to book your tickets early.
