Queensland’s little-known (but truly-beloved) Earth Frequency Festival will celebrate it’s seventh year of hashies and rollies in 2012, providing festival goers with a line up which can only be described as trippy. With a sharp (yet completely jaded) focus on raising environmental and lifestyle awareness, Earth Freq provides a different kind of festival high- the kind acquired through ingesting love, not LSD.
Gigs, pep talks and workshops invite festival goers from an ever expanding score of backgrounds, ages and walks of nomad life to come together and share a common interest in music, nature and life itself.
Although the festival may sound like it belongs in a time where Woodstock was the equivalent to Splendour In The Grass, the community at Earth Freq have experienced nothing but “good vibrations” since first forming as a small enviro-care clad back in 2005.
This year’s line up includes artists such as Audio Injection, Robert Rich and Tetrameth just to name a few. With more than 18 artists secured for the February festival, this year’s line up is proving to be Earth Freq’s best to date.
If you’re looking for a festival that offers a high (minus the sniffer dog nosing your crotch), South-East Queensland’s Earth Frequency Festival might just be the place for you.
Running from the 17th to the 20th of February, ticket prices start at $192.50 presale from Earth Frequency’s official site. Don’t miss out or you’ll be hit with a hippy happy $220 at the door.
