The boys at Red Island Brewing have done it again, bringing us their brand new brew, the India Pale Ale. Dubbing itself as “your new drinking wingman”, this smooth brew goes down a treat. There’s little of that pesky froth that us beer drinkers can’t stand that gets in the way of the actual beer (score!).

Statistics show that majority of women are attracted to men who dress with a sense of formality, when compared to men who choose the easy way out and dress in casual attire. Girls definitely notice slovenly dressing, and it’s a major turnoff.
There have been many crazy theories about love and attraction throughout the years from whether girls like being treated like crap by guys to whether a silly pick up line will impress a woman enough for her to sleep with you. Another big one is whether two completely different people can be a perfect match for one another. Many people believe this to be the case, but can opposites really attract?
A casual conversation may seem effortless with the girls and the topics are very generic, but when it comes to the guys, having a chat at the pub, there is a lot more depth to their conversations.
Society nowadays deems smokers as idiots and smoking as a horrible habit, so even at nightclubs smokers are like social pariahs. Feeling fed up of drinking the same drinks and seeing the same faces? The bar and club scene blues happen to all of us. But one of the best cures is simply to get a change of scenery and have a drink or two somewhere else!
A recent study by VicHealth and RMIT University concluded that there are four types of drinkers out there (or at least in Victoria). Embodying Australia’s huge drinking culture, it comes as no surprise that not only are there a lot of drinkers in Oz, but drinkers can be categorised into subgroups. Yep, us Aussies certainly love slowly destroying our livers.
Having lived in South West Sydney my whole life, it has come to my attention that local nightspots are becoming increasingly popular and popping up, especially in Campbelltown. Not to say I’m disappointed. With renovations and redecorating, the local spots in the South West are crowded and happening, especially on Thursday and Friday nights.
Whenever it’s late October or early November, Melbournians all of a sudden take a huge interest in horse racing. It’s amazing that for people who for the most part couldn’t care less about a bunch of horses going round a big grassy circle, they suddenly feel the need to dress up in their best clothes, or even buy new clothes just for this occasion. This phenomenon is what we in Melbourne call Spring Carnival.
