When I go clubbing, I don’t like to be rude to the guys that make moves on me, mainly because I care about feelings. But sometimes there’s no other option to the guy who has grabbed onto your arm while you’re walking past. Or the one who comes up behind you when you’re dancing and puts his hand around your waist and won’t let go. Or the one who comes to grind on you and goes for the make out straight away. I have narrowed down my escape plans to three options that have worked for me when I go clubbing to reject that guy that you don’t want to talk to, is too full on or just won’t leave you alone. Yes, all of them are bitchy.
1. EW!
Literally, just saying ‘EW’ at a guy when that guy at the bar grabs your ass and expects you to make out with him then and there because he is soo good looking. Yeahh, no. The ‘EW’ accompanied with a raised eye brow and the ‘bitch face’ will give the message that no, you’re not interested and you won’t be ever.
2. UGH!
Yes, another non word to get those boys to back off. The ‘UGH’ used with a disgusted face shows that he’s not even worth your words and is an instant ‘back off, you’re gross’ without having to say a thing!
3. Away My Peasant
This hand wave has worked wonders for me at clubs. It must be very demeaning, but I’ve never had it done to me so I wouldn’t know. The wave of the hand is a cross between ‘away with you peasant’ and ‘move out of my way’ and you don’t even have to make a noise to cause an instant retreat.
You can use all three together with the most disgusted face you want to really get your point across. While you might be thinking, “Wow, isn’t that bitchy?”, yes, you may be correct, but you try dancing with your girls and being surrounded by guys who think they can come up and touch you wherever they want. It’s just not a good time.
