During the last few months of 2012, I’d been looking forward to 2013 for a few reasons, and one of them was all the upcoming concerts and music festivals that looked amazing. That may sound lame because bands and singers head down under all the time, but in 2013 it seems many old school rock bands that peaked in the ’80s and ’90s have decided to come and tear shit up in Oz.
After Gold Coast hit the ground running with the first Big Day Out of the season on Sunday, fans from other states were provided with an insight of what is yet to come for Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth as set lists for The Jezabels, The Living End, Kanye West plus more were leaked after a day on the greens.

A Twitter post was released that stated “This year will be New Zealand’s last Big Day Out. Come party with us this Friday. It’s been an amazing 18 years here in Auckland.”

Soundwave, Spendour, Groovin’ The Moo, Laneway, Peats Ridge, Future Music, Tamworth Country Music Festival and Meredith Music all reported positive growth.
Australia’s favourite music festival, ‘The Big Day Out’, this week announced partnership with C3 Presents, a US based promotions agency renowned for Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits Music Festival.
Q. You just got your hands on a hot festival ticket promising fun, debauchery and mayhem. All is good until you get there and realize that you have no cash, just an ATM card – in a place that has NO ATMs. Whoops! What do you do?
It’s our favorite time of year again, festival season. Summer weekends are fully booked out and events fill the pages of diaries for many. It’s time to get crazy in the sun and dance the days and nights away.
