Melbourne punks will be stoked to hear about this year’s SRH Fest, an inner city block party to kick off summer headlined by legendary punk rockers Suicidal Tendencies, along with Unwritten Law and Finnish pranksters The Dudesons, and many local bands and DJs yet to be announced. If you know anything about punks, they’re a wild bunch who love nothing more than mayhem and hardcore partying. Point being, this is going to go off the hook!
Happening on Saturday 15 December at One City Road at (believe it or not) 1 City Road in Melbourne, across the road from the Arts Centre Spire, tix are available at Ticketek.
If you’re not familiar with any of these bands, you just simply don’t have any street cred! The Dudesons are essentially a Finnish version of the Jackass crew and Unwritten Law have been around since 1990, so these guys know how to party. But Suicidal Tendencies are the real deal; they’ve been thrashing guitars and making mosh pits even crazier than they already are for 30 years. Take a look at Suicidal Tendencies’ biggest hit ‘Institutionalized’; a fucking great song about how it seems the world’s against you and nobody listens, especially parents. If you were ever a disgruntled youth back in high school (or still are), this is your anthem!
