The Brunswick Music Festival might sound like your run of the mill, straightforward, average Joe music festival – but it’s not! Held over 11 days at 3 venues, featuring 25 different concerts and 3 worshops, this one is not to be missed! Full of eccentricity, a mix of artists –both local and international – and some kick-ass venues make for one amazing party.
Kicking since 1989, it’s one of Victoria’s top cultural and music festivals; celebrating the colourful diversity that makes Australia what it is, this event incorporates incredible musicians, art, performances and a street party to end all street parties.
The line up includes Krystal Warren from the US, traditional Irish band Beoga, Canadian fiddler, singer and songwriter April Verch, award-winning folk duo Chris While and Julie Matthews and The Peter Rowan Blue Grass Band.
The workshops which will be floating around comprise of Money For Nothing: How to Manage Your Financials and Maximise Your Profit (yay, bring on the Benjamins!), the tech-savy Meet Me on Facebook: Building and Engaging with Your Fan base in Social Media and a finger-style guitar class from Pierre Bensusan.
This hive of activity will all take place in and amongst various venues littering the suburb of Brunswick. The Brunswick Town Hall, the Mechanics Institute Performing Arts Centre, Phoenix Public House and Sydney Road (yes the actual street) will all play host to these amazing acts and performances.
