Devils horns raised? Check. Full range of neck movement? Check. Best Soundwave line-up ever? CHECK!
The third and final announcement for the line-up of 2012’s Soundwave has been released with many of the world’s best metal bands barraging their way to our shores. Hard-core metal fans are drooling with excitement with big name bands like Bush, In Flames and These Kids Wear Crowns set to tear the country apart, moshpit by sweaty moshpit.
Swedish thrashers and veterans of heavy metal, In Flames have been noted as pioneers of the genre encompassed by the Soundwave festival. Having released ten albums in the last couple of decades, it’s frightening – and titillating – to imagine what they will bring to their set.
Bush, on the other hand, may be better known to those outside the musical realm as Mr Gwen Stefani’s band, but we in the real world love them for beautiful, grungy 90’s hits Comedown and Glycerine.
Staying true to their name, These Kids Wear Crowns are the new ones on the block, with the Canadian six-piece representing the newer generation of pop punk with recent singles Break It Up and Jumpstart.
Whatever decade the bands are from, Soundwave organisers expect a strong following for the Adelaide show at Bonython Park on March 3rd. Tickets are still available for the licenced and all ages smorgasbord of rock.
Tickets for the festival in other cities are also available, except in Brisbane where the show has sold out.
