Atrium Bar Review
Review By Clare Todhunter
During the week, my friends and I made our way to the Conrad Jupiters casino in Broadbeach with dreams of winning millions on the pokies. However, once we had entered the building and were heading to the gaming floor, we found ourselves drawn to the stylish Atrium Bar like a moth to a flame. Located in the heart of the casino, it’s hard to overlook the always-bustling Atrium bar. This trendy bar is hip but elegant, lit with deep shades of red and yellow and carpeted with a majestic crimson. We made ourselves comfortable at an ensemble of luxurious lounge chairs and a stylish cocktail table before heading to the bar. The bar offered the usual selection of wines, cocktails, beers and spirits at reasonable prices, as well as a low priced variety of flavoured daiquiris for those with a sweet tooth, like myself!
We returned to our cozy lounge chairs to enjoy our drinks while we listened to live music and then a DJ, who both played a variety of fresh tracks and golden oldies. The diversity in music made the experience enjoyable for both young and old adults, I couldn’t help but to join the dance floor when the DJ spun Nutbush City Limits. My friends and I remained on the dance floor for a live cover of the Black Eyed Peas, but soon returned to our seats. The main benefit of the Atrium Bar was that it gave us the option to either sit back to enjoy a relaxing drink with friends or get the party started on the energetic dance floor.
We never made it to the pokies that night, but our enjoyable experience made up for the millions we could have made (or lost!) There are few venues on the Gold Coast known for sophistication but the Atrium Bar certainly shines above the rest, and I will certainly be returning there soon!
