When you head out clubbing for the first time, it can be the most exciting time of your life, but there are a few things to keep in mind.
Going clubbing on your 18th birthday has become a rite of passage. Even schoolies celebrations come in second place compared to the clubs. The thrills of clubbing are unbeatable, from the music blasting through your ears to the alcohol running through your veins. But, there are so many things to be cautious of at the same time.
Once only acceptable for toddlers and ‘adult babies’, the onesie has become an essential part of the wardrobe for anyone who is fun. Once only patterned or plain, onesies now come as animal costumes and can be worn by anyone. But is it acceptable to wear a onesie out clubbing or to a bar?
Okay, so everyone has their own experiences and expectations. Take it from a country person who suddenly gets the idea to take on the big city nightlife; it is a bit of an eye opener. You won’t be seeing familiar faces, and you definitely can’t hustle your way into the club because you know the bouncer, chances of you knowing anyone is slim.
While we love to go out clubbing with our partner (drunk sex afterwards) and we love to go out clubbing with our best friend (crazy dancing and hilarious memories), is it okay to mix the two together and go clubbing with both of them? Obviously your best friend will be a third wheel, but when you have your two favourite people in the world with you, it should be all fun right?
Sometimes your night out isn’t all it’s cracked up to be and you’re a bit, well, bored. It’s always disappointing when your night turns a little dull, but as long as you have great friends, there are always things you can do to turn your night from yawn to YOLO (yes, that just happened).
WARNING: The following actions are not considered appropriate or legal. In other words, don’t try this at home folks.
Mother’s Day is coming up and if you’re anything like me, you have no idea what your mum might want to do. Mother’s Day should be about bonding, and what’s a better way to bond then to let your mum into your world and take her for drinks at your local bar or tavern.
Throwing a party is one of the most exciting/nerve-wracking events one can have (next to a wedding, of course). Planning the perfect party can take days/weeks/months and can be very time consuming. Not only do you have to organise the venue, music, food, drinks and party invites, you also need to decide if you want a theme.
So you’re on a night out, you’re single and you’re looking for some fun. Now comes the big question… How do you pick up without being deemed as a creep? People these days are becoming frostier and extremely cynical as well as scared of being picked up by a creeper whom they will regret in the morning.
There’s nothing more exciting than when a club has a theme night that requires you to make the effort to dress up and suit the theme, it is all good fun! Why would you still wear your boring going out clothing on a night that you can get away with looking like a slut, geek, or something crazy? That’s the whole point of dressing up, isn’t it?
