Everyone likes to party and when we’re doing it, most of us enjoy a drink or two along the way. Perhaps you’re a cocktail kind of person. Perhaps shots take your fancy or maybe it’s strictly beer or breezers. Many of you may even be messy miscreants and enjoy a mixture of all of them. Here’s a little list of what could be considered five of the most rockin’, party-inducing, down right bitching drinks ever associated with getting loose as a goose.
When asking a buddy what they did on the weekend and they tell you they got down and dirty clubbing, the follow up question is usually ‘did you hook up?’. Chatting up a sizzling hot number in the club is an integral and exciting part of the experience, but why is it so common out on a Friday night at a bar or on a dance floor and not at a local footy match or supermarket?
Gatecrashers have a bad name, literally. ‘Gatecrasher’ sounds just awful. And often those associated with the name are pretty awful themselves. They show up unannounced and unexpected and potentially ruin the party for everyone. It’s plain not on. Right? Well perhaps there are times it’s ok.
When you think about it, nightclubs are where we are at our most animalistic. The d-floor is littered with sweaty, pheromone oozing bodies, gyrating in time with the rhythmic and primal vibrations of drum and bass. We actually go to them in order to attract a mate with the girls showing off a lot of skin and some of the guys acting downright predatory.
Clubs and bars offer its patrons an array of gratifying and fun opportunities. There’s DJs, dance floors, bars, big speakers and what club reviewers like to call ambiance. They are all complimented with a cheeky drink or ten, but not necessarily in the outside area.
Music festivals are really fun. Nightclubs are really fun. So why compare the two, right? Why not just celebrate the fact that both are rousing fiery biscuits of adrenalin fuelled enjoyment. Well, they are both fun but for different reasons and in different ways. The atmosphere, opportunities and dynamics are different and whether you like it or not each have their advantages.
Good Friday is fast approaching and many of us will be spending at least part of it getting our drank on with our mates on a well deserved night out - what better way to commemorate a bloke that turned water into wine. Whereas some of us will be lapping up them good vibes at a gathering or house party, a lot of us will be out on the town looking for bunnies of our own.
Guys love reveling in the music of bars and clubs, in the drinks that are served there, with their mates that accompany them there and in the electrifying vibe that is found there. But perhaps the best thing guys like about bars and clubs is that girls go to them too.
So it’s been a long and arduous week and you’ve finally made it to the weekend. You’re out at your favourite club with your pals, the music is pumping and the drinks are flowing, but you realise that something is missing. Somehow the night doesn’t quite feel complete. Then it hits you - what would make the night perfect is the good old-fashioned hookup.
