What to Expect @ Fusion Nightspot

Undoubtedly the most popular spot in the Sutherland Shire for good drinks, good music and a good time is Fusion Nightspot.

Located in the heart of Cronulla, Fusion is the place to be on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday night. Fusion is a large space with a huge dance floor and three bars, including the famous Redbull bar, which serves variations of energy drinks and vodka! Fusion has the most varied music of any club in the Shire; you will be dancing to the latest hits and then all of a sudden you will be pulling out the seventies disco moves.

The resident DJs play a great selection of songs that always gets the dance floor jam packed with partygoers. The dance floor is enhanced by a big white podium for partying and a dynamic light display that will definitely have you in a trance after a few drinks. There is also a VIP area that is a great place to chill or even dance with your own group of friends. Fusion has an extensive list of drinks and cocktails available at the bar (hint: try the Cosmopolitans - they're the best I have had at any club) and the bartenders will make any drink on request as long as you know what's in it. From personal experience they stop serving shots after midnight, so if you are a fan make sure you down some before then. With only $10 for entry fee Fusion is one of the cheapest clubs in the Sutherland Shire. The club can get extremely busy, especially on Friday and Sunday nights, so definitely expect some large crowds.

This is definitely not a place you could go to every week; go too much and you will get sick of it. Fusion is great place to go every now and then for some lighthearted fun, crazy dancing and a good atmosphere.

The Sutherland Shire is home to many popular nightspots; however, ask any local Shire resident between the ages of 18 to 30 will tell you that Fusion on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday night is most likely the place to be! Originally refurbished late 2008, and the again this year, Fusion is a great place to drink, dance and have a great time!

Originally Fusion was spilt into two rooms, which was great because each space played different music, however, now that Fusion is a single room, the resident DJs play an eclectic mix of new and old music (you may find yourself dancing to a remix of the Jackson Five). If wanted the true Sutherland Shire experience, you would probably head to Northies first (a pub right on Cronulla Beach), however, Fusion is a perfect and interesting way to spend your Friday, Saturday or Sunday night.

As a local, I personally prefer a Saturday or Sunday night because those are the most crowded and essentially the most exciting. The cover charge is $10, which is inexpensive compared to other Sutherland Shire Clubs and as you walk in you immediately see the raised white dance floor and the large podium that is constantly covered in partygoers enjoying themselves and letting loose. Fusion holds three bars, the main bar, a smaller bar at the front of the premises and a Red Bull bar that serves only Red Bull and Vodka.

Fusion offers an extensive list of spirits and the bartenders will create any drink (within reason) if you know what is in it. If you want have some shots, make sure you do so before 12 as from personal experience, they do not serve them after that time. The dance floor is enhanced by the dynamic light show whilst you're dancing to the music from now and years gone by. The VIP area is a great place to unwind and dance to the great music in your own private booth.

Fusion is in the heart of Cronulla, close to the train station for easy access. It is a great place to dance, drink and be merry. Be sure to wear your dancing shoes, because your feet will be moving all night!
