What to Expect @ The Bank Nightclub

By Sandra Polak

The Bank nightclub is situated in the heart of Kings Cross. It's one of those places where the ladies and gents aren't afraid to dress to impress. For its small size, the venue attracts big crowds. The decorative style was impressive and from this I could tell it was a popular hot spot for clubber's.

The thing that caught my eye when I first walked into the club was its stylish nature. The lamps and seating area upstairs made the place look nice and classy. After a few minutes of settling into the atmosphere, the dance floor filled up and everyone started going off (in other words started dancing crazily). At this point I was having a great time, but when I looked around I spotted something that made my heart drop into my stomach. It was my ex-boyfriend, and to make things worse he was with all his friends and new girlfriend. I have been trying to avoid him and his friends for ages since we spilt, so I have been keeping a low profile. By this time every one of my friends, as well as me, are freaking out that he is here. It was the worst situation because I wasn't looking my very best I had make-up and sweat running down my face and my hair frizzed up like a lion's mane, so I was in no form to be seeing exes at all! I definitely had to boycott the situation so I bailed and got out of there as quickly as possible.

All in all The Bank was a really nice venue and I liked the fact that it was somewhere you could dress up and throw on your best pair of pumps or collared shirt and dance the night away. It did get a bit sweaty in there and my only criticism is that the toilets were a trek up-stairs this can be hard when you are drunk and wobbly in high heels, otherwise it was a perfect venue and I enjoyed the night.
