What to Expect @ The Warehouse

The abandoned grave of what once was Chapel St's Chaser's nightclub has made its reincarnated debut as Melbourne's newest Saturday night favourite.

Although theoretically there is nothing unfamiliar about the "experience" Warehouse provides - they've really covered everything you would expect to encounter at a club - the appeal of warehouse is nothing short of magnetic.

Presume the standard long lines, expensive entry and drinks, near impossible entry, the necessity of girls, a great big dance floor and strobe lights, wall-to-wall bars, even the token acquaintance you'll be surprised to see is enjoying some kind of party 'enhancer', but at Warehouse all of this is sugar coated and light hearted and somehow less passe... It's like your older siblings underage disco, only with alcohol, exceptionally killer DJ's and an unusually enclosed smokers area... you'll overlook any flaws because it is obviously cool and fun and you are indeed having a great time.

There aren't any lolly bags or pass outs offered when leaving. Boo.

Chaser's must have given to charity in its previous life because Warehouse is certainly reaping the benefits, each weekend seeing an influx of good karma and even better crowds. Even though Warehouse is characteristically suited as initiation for the inexperienced and bright eyed clubbing youths, to party come one and all.

Children of the night... come play.
