Yes, this may be controversial and yes, this may be a no bullshit post about dressing to the body size you were given (or have gained) and yes, I may hurt some feelings, but this topic is way overdue. Will I be called a bitch for saying this? Yeah probably, but let’s be honest, girl power isn’t real and everyone is looking at you.
Gone are the days of clubbing enthusiasts wearing their best dresses and heels on a Saturday night. The clubbing scene has changed not only in the drugs we take, how long we party for and the drinks we consume but also in the outfits that we wear. No more good quality dresses with our clutch matching our heels. No more well thought out outfits. No more jeans for the boys.
Guys have it pretty good when it comes to winter going out fashion. From jeans to suits, their clothing is warm. Granted, they have it worse in the summer when they see the ‘no shorts no service’ signs outside a pub full of girls in short shorts. But on these 10 degree nights, us women have to sacrifice our warmth for the sake of conventional ‘going out fashion’, which tend to be mainly dresses, skirts and shorts.
You get home from work on a Friday evening and do not feel like going out. You’ve had a long day, your boss probably yelled at you or you got singled out in a tute at uni. It’s probably raining too. How do you go from wanting to go to bed with a hot chocolate to hitting the town?
Over the shoulder boulder holder, tit sling, boober scooper, whatever you’ve named it (or maybe you’re normal like me and just call it your bra), it’s your best friend on a night out. I understand with some dresses it’s impractical because you can see it because your dress is backless or you have tiny boobs that there is no point putting two layers over them or maybe you’re just super confident.
