The act of a guy pining for your love with an aggressive punch and tackle is often met with mixed reactions from the female sex. While some women fall to their knees in wonder of this courageous act, others find it disgusting and trivial - an act which most definitely does not grant you access to her heart (or knickers). Whether you love or hate the bar brawl is one thing, but whether you expect your loved one to draw blood on your behalf is another.
Do you expect your man to step in?
Yes
There is nothing in the world more romantic (or charismatic) than a bar brawl in your very honour. The strength, the passion, and the scarred (yet completely chiselled) faces of your admirers fighting it out between DJ sets, all in the hope of impressing you. Your bar stool is comfortable from the sideline, you’ve got a cool drink in hand, and when things turn ugly you’re not the one who gets kicked out for violence. Did I mention your nails are still intact?
No
“All the women, who independent, throw yo’ hands up at me”. Destiny’s Child really knew it all back in their hey day, and most definitely wouldn’t be expecting their men to do all the fighting. Being a woman today involves the right to stand up for yourself and protect yourself as an equal human being. Palming off conflict to the male gender is only admitting ones own weakness, and placing oneself in damsel in distress territory. When a female fights her own wars, she wins them too.
What do you think? Would you let him fight for your right?
