ARIA-award-winning Local band, the Hilltop Hoods have made the nation stop and listen. Their recently-released third album, Drinking from the Sun, follows in the successful footsteps of their previous two albums: State of the Art and A Matter of Time. The boys will be hitting Melbourne’s Fesival Hall this Saturday the 25th August to bring their unique sound to Victoria, and do what they do best.
Their Melbourne gig will be their second to last tour performance; they play The New Albury Hotel on Sunday the 26th of August before their Aussie tour regrettably comes to an end. The Hoods kicked off the Speaking in Tongues tour back in June in Coffs Harbour, and have been ripping up the East and West Coasts, as well as Tassie, with their groundbreaking Hip Hop sound; recently performing amongst other talented musicians and DJ’s at Splendour in the Grass.
Joining them on tour are two up and coming Hip Hoppers from their Golden Era Record label - Sydney crew, Horrorshow and local Shepparton MC Briggs. Brought to you by Triple j, Channel [V] and Golden Era, their Melbourne show is sure to be no less amazing than their previous 12 shows nationwide; and that MC’s Suffa and Pressure, and DJ debris will bring it!
They’ll be showcasing songs from their new album, among old favourites such as State of the Art and I Love it. You’ll kick yourself if you miss the opportunity to see the band who knocked Adele off the ARIA #1 chart position perform. The Aussie trio are not only loved locally, but are internationally-acclaimed. And don’t forget, this gig is all ages, so all you underage Hoods fans are in luck!
