We’ve all had an awkward moment (or ten) on the dance floor. For us mere mortals, these moments of sheer embarrassment typically end in a quick call for a cab. In Hollywood, however, they do things a little differently. Check out the best move dance scenes of all time. Just how do they make embarrassment look so good?
Rome and Michel’s Highschool Reunion (1997)
“I swear to God, sometimes I wish I were a lesbian”.
While dancing in the club, these two best friends realise that their jovial comment about hooking up if they’re both still single in a couple of years is becoming more and more of a reality. Cue 80′s dance moves.
Knocked Up (2007)
“Dude, I think he’s doing the dice too much” “That’s all he’s got”
When Ben Stone (the stoner) gets a chance at the very drunk, and totally-out-of his-league tv presenter Alison, he decides to play it safe with the one dance move he knows. A word of advice to lads out there, repeating your most aesthetically pleasing dance move over, and over, and over makes it errr, not so aesthetically pleasing.
White Chicks (2004)
“I know, you hookers don’t think this is over with” “Let’s kick it old school”
Ah, the dance-off. For Kevin and Marcus, two undercover guys dressed as ‘white chicks’, their tensions with upperclass bitches comes to a head in the public setting of the dancefloor. Hilarity, crude words and even cruder dance moves ensue.
Unless you’re playing part in a multi-million dollar film, the dance floor is never the right time to take out frustrations, save that for the curb.
