For longtime fans of house music, the name of Chicago’s 66th most famous Chicago local Derrick Carter is followed by a reverent nod of approval and acknowledgement of his unquestionable contribution to the house music movement.
For many, Chicago (not Detroit) is the birthplace of house music, giving birth to a soiree of artists including Felix Da Housecat, Frankie Knuckles and of course Derrick Carter. Primarily he tours in Europe, and thus, the opportunity to experience his work in the heart of Sydney’s most famous clubbing precincts is unique and not to be missed.
To be one of the few that can bare witness to his legend status, Australia Day Eve the 25th of January 2012 @ Goldfish is the place to be.
