This Australia Day Sydney’s revamped Star Casino is incorporating into their celebrations everything us Aussie’s hold dear: snags on the barbie, cheap drinks, sports and Aussie music legend Ian Moss. Come 26th of January, the Star will be hold their patriotic festivities at not one, but three of their entertainment venues, which means there will be something for everyone to enjoy!
Rock Lily, the Star’s live music hub, will play host to iconic musician and “Australia’s best guitarist”, Cold Chisel legend Ian Moss. This intimate live performance will include Ian Moss’s solo work as well as some Cold Chisel hits. Doors open at 11am, with DJ’s and supporting bands kicking off the entertainment at 2pm. Entry is free and $5 Aussie wine and beer specials will also be available.
If sipping impeccably made cocktails while listening to house, lounge and afro beats is more what you’re into, then head to Star’s cocktail bar – Cherry. Headlining DJ’s Cassette and Taras will be pumping out the tunes and there’ll be awesome drink specials including $10 Aussie Day cocktails and a free bottle of champers between 5 and 9pm for groups of 5 or more.
Boogaloo Crew and DJ ROXwell will be providing the entertainment at the 24/7 Sports Bar, along with your favourite sports, broadcast on the mega screens until dawn! This is where you can enjoy snags, $8 slushies (yes the type that has alcohol) and cheap beer including $5 Carlton Draught schooners, $7 Coronas and $25 buckets of 4 Coronas.
Ahhh, what better way to spend Australia Day than surrounded by good mates, enjoying great music in amazing venues, set against the magnificent backdrop of Sydney Harbour….and the best part? Entry into all venues is free.
