Australians are the world’s biggest cannabis users, a recent study published in medical journal The Lancet, has revealed. The study, which surveyed countries on a global scale, revealed that 10-15 per cent of Australian’s aged
between 15 and 64 years of age have smoked the illegal drug in the past two years.
The statistic was one of the highest across the board, and made countries such as Asia look angelic, with the region boasting a mere average of just 1.2 to 2.5 per cent.
While many Australians fear that the widespread concern over recent findings may affect their access to the recreational drug, the report also stated negative effects of drug control on society, furthermore contributing to a current lack of action taken by the government against low end drug use.
With a puff of relief, 15 per cent of Australians roll on through another day as the biggest grass gaspers world wide.
