How many rappers out there have a political science degree, have helped build an orphanage in Afghanistan, spent a year in jail as well as managed to sell about 300,000 records without using a record label? One, and if you haven’t heard of him, his name is Immortal Technique and he’s in town!
With shows running all across Australia, this is a rare opportunity to hear live a rapper with a little more to talk about then “bitches and ho’s.” To those who know him, this rapper epitomises hip hop’s capability to deliver a meaningful message to those who otherwise might not be willing to listen.
With tracks and lyrics covering a range of social issues from racism and classism to the war in Iraq, Immortal Technique’s work appeal to anyone with a political interest and love of rap and hip hop.
Coming for the ride on his Australian tour is Akir and Poison Pen.
