The Lounge Room Bar Decadent. Luxe. Sophisticated. Apple is a stylish haven that is redefining Adelaide’s nightlife. Since opening in December 2009, it has fast become the spot to see and be seen. Over two opulent levels, Apple fuses the appeal of an ultra exclusive lounge with a high-energy nightclub. Boasting three sleek bars and two dance floors, this lush late-night venue has breathed new life into South Australia’s oldest, heritage listed synagogue. With DJs spinning all your favourite tunes and last drinks not ’till 5 am, you can dance until dawn! Plus Apple’s numerous, highly flexible spaces, mean it’s a glamorous setting for your next corporate, social or private event. Come out and play.

What to Expect @ The Apple Bar

Sexy and sophisticated, if you are looking for a place where you can sip on a delicious cocktail as well as bust a few moves, then Apple is the place for you. I would definitely suggest sipping on one of their house favourites the Long Apple Ice Tea. Potent yet satisfying, it’s a great way to start off a huge night with one simple yet effective drink! There are loads of areas to sit and chill with friends and a have few drinks, as well as two main rooms with music to suit everyone’s ear buds. Downstairs you can hear cool dance tunes and upstairs you’ll be listening to RnB – the old and the new. Most people love Apple for the music because it’s not just all your top 40 house beats but a combination of techno, dubstep and harder styles of dance music that makes the dance floor go wild.

The decor is decadent which gives a luxe feel with a touch of classiness and glamour. The couches make for great meeting areas or for some much needed winding down after some hard d-floor action.

Originally a synagogue and recently heritage listed, the venue adorns the fittings of a true nightspot where you can feel relaxed as well as enjoy a big night out. Popular on Thursdays for uni students, Saturdays also draws in a big crowd, which is impressive for Adelaide’s East End, which is full of restaurants and cafes.

The age group varies depending on what day you decide to go. Thursday nights are filled up mostly by uni students and lines get pretty big. Saturdays is more of an older crowd, and by older I mean mid-twenties. All in all, I think everyone has the potential to love Apple Bar as it caters to heaps of different people and welcomes everyone as well. There are great offers as well for functions and birthdays including bar tabs and drinks specials which you can email the venue about.

So what’s coming up at Apple? Expect to see names like Bloc Party, Sinden, R3hab, Calver Tron, Barletta, Hardwell, Congorock and their Sydney residents Tom Piper, Tenzin and Rob Pix. Adelaide loves when Timmy Trumpet tours as well, and he usually hits up Apple for a big night.

Tucked away behind Adelaide’s fine eateries and the designer retail stores of the East End, Apple is situated just off Rundle Street in Synagogue Place.
