We all love a good pre-drinking ritual before we go out drinking. Mates having fun and starting the night early to ensure a solid buzz all night. But is it better to pre-drink at a cheap bar, or pre-drink at home? Let’s weigh up the pros and cons.
At Home:
Pro: Can wear slippers and get ready whilst drinking. This is multi tasking and coordination at its best.
Con: Your make up might look like shit.
Pro: You can make your own drinks.
Con: You might get too drunk because you made them too strong and not make it out.
Pro: You can play drinking games with your mates (e.g. kings cup, beer pong).
Con: There is never a con to drinking games.
Pro: You can choose your own music and dance around and get pumped.
Con: You might be a little tipsy and spill drinks on you before you get into a club.
Pro: You can start drinking earlier and it’s cheaper.
Con: If you have to travel into the city, there is a sobering up period.
At A Bar:
Pro: You’re already out and dressed.
Con: You came into the city sober.
Pro: You can do mixed shots.
Con: More expensive than drinking at home.
Pro: Lots of people and already a party atmosphere.
Con: You had to leave home earlier.
Pro: There is no sobering up period so you can enjoy your buzz non stop.
Con: You might be super drunk and not get into a club.
Pro: You left your house looking super fine with non-smudged makeup and everyone has seen you like this before that changes.
Con: You left your house sober.
