Surrounded by the mesmerising shores of Cottesloe Beach, The Ocean Beach Hotel (commonly referred to as The OBH) boasts coastline views to die for and a variety of different bars and areas to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. The saloon bar is located at the very front of The OBH, which has the breath taking 180 degree ocean views and is flooded with natural sunlight. On Thursdays, the saloon bar becomes host to the weekly Open Mic Night which serves up a $15 steak and pint special and if that doesn’t get you dancing then I’m sure the performers will get you on your feet! Any day of the week, the saloon bar is the optimum place to pull up a chair, grab a bite to eat and sip on some sparkling wine as the sun sinks down into the Indian Ocean.
Just to the side of the Saloon Bar is the C Blu Restaurant, which caters anywhere from an intimate group or couple, to a huge function for 160 people. Their massive breakfast is available daily until noon for a dirt cheap price of $10 and they also have $10 cocktails from Thursday – Saturday which keeps them very popular with the regulars! With their famous wood fired pizzas and fresh catches of the day, teamed with one of the most desirable locations in Perth, C Blu makes for an unbeatable combination. Nothing epitomises Perth life quite like tucking in to a tantalizing meal with the picturesque Cottesloe beach as your backdrop.
The OBH sports bar is one of Perth’s premier spots to sit back and catch up on all of your favourite sports events whilst placing a few wagers and slurping down an ice cold beer. The sports bar leads on to my favourite area of the whole Ocean Beach Hotel… The beer garden. This is where all the action and fun happens and where that amazing Sunday Session I was talking about takes place!
Packed out with 18 – 25 year olds on a Sunday, no other venue compares. With ample seating and standing space, the speakers pumping out the latest tunes, DJ Munch spinning from 5pm onwards and more good looking guys and girls in one place than you’d ever imagine, I know there is no other place I’d rather be on a Sunday!
