One of the most frustrating things that can happen during a night out is the inability to get drunk. Everyone has had those nights where pre’s didn’t serve its purpose properly, or maybe you ate too much food to allow yourself to become properly intoxicated. Never fear though, there is a method in the madness.
I’ve always found it amusing to observe the 18 year old spring chickens who are finally legal to drink publicly (not behind closed doors anymore!) and go all out with their drinking antics, just to make the most of this new exciting age of theirs. I mean, you only get to be 18 for 365 days in your life, before the novelty of being a newbie adult slowly starts to wears off as you get older.
Scientists are always coming up with new discoveries about the benefits of alcohol, and all you drinkers out there are rejoicing. Well, I’m sorry to say, but most of the benefits do not apply to you, and here’s why:
The Big Bang Theory has to be just about the most popular sitcom on TV at the moment, if not the most popular TV show in general, with 20 million viewers who tuned in to see the current season’s opening episode. Who’d thought that the simple premise of a hot blonde having to deal with four nerds’ social awkwardness could churn out season after season and get people laughing hysterically?
We all love a good pre-drinking ritual before we go out drinking. Mates having fun and starting the night early to ensure a solid buzz all night. But is it better to pre-drink at a cheap bar, or pre-drink at home? Let’s weigh up the pros and cons.
No, I’m not talking about drinking yourselves silly in the office you work in (instant dismissal right there!), I’m talking about the excellent television series The Office (American version). Whether you find the American or British to be superior is a big debate amongst hardcore fans that I won’t even get into (I think the fact I’m talking about the American version sums up the version I like more; “USA! USA!”).
There are plenty of tipples to choose from when you hit the bar on a night out, but usually people have a preferred regular order set on
default. What’s your poison? Are you a vodka/Red Bull kind of clubber? Are you a bubbles kind of girl? Or do you like your drinks fast and strong?
Truth or Dare is one of those games that opens up so many great opportunities and has so much potential for both entertainment and absolute embarrassment. So why is it, that when blessed with this great opportunity, we are often hard-pressed to think of a decent challenge?
There is never an inappropriate time to play a drinking game. However, some of the best prove to be better played at home, such as Chess shots, King’s Cup and homemade Battleshots. So here I offer a few simple games that are easy to play wherever you are:
Everyone likes to party and when we’re doing it, most of us enjoy a drink or two along the way. Perhaps you’re a cocktail kind of person. Perhaps shots take your fancy or maybe it’s strictly beer or breezers. Many of you may even be messy miscreants and enjoy a mixture of all of them. Here’s a little list of what could be considered five of the most rockin’, party-inducing, down right bitching drinks ever associated with getting loose as a goose.
