The one thing many women can’t stand, but must endure when on the prowl for men are the many upon many sleazy men that are blatantly trying to get into the girl’s pants. Yes, a nightclub with sleazy guys is like McDonald’s with Big Macs, they’re a sure sight at either place. They give men a bad name and make life a lot harder for good blokes trying to meet a girl.
There are plenty of tipples to choose from when you hit the bar on a night out, but usually people have a preferred regular order set on
default. What’s your poison? Are you a vodka/Red Bull kind of clubber? Are you a bubbles kind of girl? Or do you like your drinks fast and strong?
The wingman is a staple of the nightlife scene. By making you look like a warm, charismatic and engaging person, the wingman can be dynamite in helping you score a chick. Think of Barney Stinson in How I Met Your Mother and you’ll have a reliable idea of the powers a wingman can muster - although focused on his own pursuits of scoring he’s equally engaged in ensuring his buddies pickup.
A fun thing about nightclubs is that they turn the quiet moderate people, who are usually normal and maybe boring, that you know but don’t hang out with, into drunk psychopaths who do funny things. Those moments where the quiet girl you work with stops dancing on the bar to tell you about her and her boyfriends ‘bedroom problems’ are priceless and wonderful and should be cherished.
Winter sucks. It’s cold, frosty and the flu spreads like crazy. A mere sneeze is enough to set off the alarm bells to thinking that you’ll be bedridden in a few days time. People also go out less because of the crappy weather. But there’s one place you really shouldn’t skip going to this winter: the gym.
This ancient art form is not one that is set in stone nor is there a perfectly accurate “Approaching Girls for Dummies” handbook. However, being one of the rather diverse and confusing gender, here are a few tips on how to approach a girl at the club.
When asking a buddy what they did on the weekend and they tell you they got down and dirty clubbing, the follow up question is usually ‘did you hook up?’. Chatting up a sizzling hot number in the club is an integral and exciting part of the experience, but why is it so common out on a Friday night at a bar or on a dance floor and not at a local footy match or supermarket?
I watched the Adam Sandler movie That’s My Boy the other night, bloody hilarious too! Well, it’s comedic genius compared to Sandler’s previous movie, the utterly pathetic Jack And Jill. The movie starts off with a young Adam Sandler having an affair with his hot high school teacher, and not only does everyone find out, she got preggers too!
Dear Guy Friends,
You may not know who you are. What I mean is, you might not be aware you fit into the category of ‘guy friend’ or what qualities even make a guy friend.
Women fought for gender equality for many years, and all in all I think men are pretty good at treating women like equals these days (compared to life before the 1960s anyway). But there’s one place where women are still seen as “different” from them, and that’s at nightclubs.
