What a burst of fruitful flavours and inspiring colours this weekend’s Gold Coast Food and Wine Expo was. Seeing so many uniquely traditional businesses all showcasing their talent created the feeling of tranquillity, or maybe it was just all the wine tasting that creating a bubbly atmosphere. The event consisted of 3 days of gourmet food, wine and celebrity chefs. The event was described as a food fantasy and an explosion of tastebuds by various people that attended the event on Sunday morning.
When you wake up after a night out, you need to replenish your lost nutrients. You also often have a craving for junk food. More specifically Mexican food. Eggs are generally hailed as a good hangover food; this is because of the taurine content, which gives you energy and yolk contains cysteine which helps break down nasty hangover causing acetaldehyde.
There is absolutely nothing worse than someone with bad breath (followed closely by bad body odour). It’s even worse if you’ve been waiting all night to kiss the cutie at the bar only to find out they have morning breath at night! We all know that regular brushing, flossing and using mouth wash are the cures for bad breath, but that’s not exactly accessible when out at a club.
Let’s not delude ourselves, we all know binge drinking will never be good for your health, nor will it ever be good for your waistline; but we also know this is not going to stop you (or me for that matter). However, there are a number of things you can do to reduce the effects of binge drinking on your health and weight, regardless of whether you do it every weekend, or once a month.
A.K.A ‘Welcome to the Thunderdome’.
It’s one of those nights. You’ve swilled a toxic mix of Gordon’s, goon and God knows what, and you’re in one of those dark drunken murky hazes where the world is sifting through your brain like a bad (is there a good?) episode of Just Shoot Me.
