Future Music is an all day event of endless doosh doosh music and shirtless gym junkies showing off their ripped chest and chicken legs. So a good time for all then. But something that often gets neglected to be mentioned is all the drinking that everyone will be doing. Granted, it’s all about the music, but still.
THE COOLEST GIRL TO COME OUT OF NSW IS PLAYING AT CAN’T SAY. THIS IS SO EXCITING. YES THESE CAPS ARE NECESSARY.
Nina Las Vegas, perhaps better known as the girl DJ with the sultry voice from Triple J’s House Party, is getting on the decks next Friday March 8 with TA-KU. Hi-five Melbourne, this is going to be sick.
Brunswick’s Sydney Road is always a happening place, full of hustle and bustle, and hipsters. This busy street’s always quite a sight when people get together to party on Friday and Saturday nights, but The Penny Black have gone all out with their annual Sydney Road Street Party.
Hip Hop bawsss Nas has been a busy boy lately. Releasing albums, dropping verses on tracks, being generally bad ass and cool, and he even had time to organise a dope as music festival for us down under in April.
Play Fridays, Melbourne‘s newest Asian night at The Key Club, is having its grand opening real soon and as the name suggests, wants peeps to come out and play to all the top Asian party tunes around.
I feel like it might be a good idea for over 18s to boycott this festival and just go to it like it were overage. This is socially scandalous, I know, but like omg the line up is so great. Also, we need to make up for lost territory in the overage/underage war. Underagers get in on everything and it’s not fair.
Considering there’s a cute Asian model like Jeri Lee in glasses to make her look like a schoolgirl (or at least somewhat nerdy), I don’t think many dudes would mind doing detention with her. If anything, they’d play up in the schoolyard just to get some alone time with her. The things men do to get a woman’s attention.
It’s lucky for us Aussies that we like the water, because Australia is obviously surrounded by it. And where else do tons of Aussies flock to during summer besides the beach? Music festivals! So whoever created the Apollo Bay Music Festival was a smart cookie for putting these two awesome pastimes together to unite peeps for sun and tunes.
Usually when Melbourne clubbers think of Billboard, they think of house and trance music on Thursday nights. But on Thursday 28 February, that most definitely won’t be the case. Heavy metal band Bring Me The Horizon will be playing a gig there and will tear the shit out of any house lovers thinking they’re going to their typical Thursday night clubbing session!
Lovers of trashy TV will have an [insert Cockney accent] absolutely smashing time with Marquee‘s guests of honour: Charlotte and James from Geordie Shore!!! That’s right, England’s answer to Jersey Shore are, like the First Fleet, heading all the way to Australia to bake in the sun and party hard away from dreary old England.
