Who remembers Factory? Big club in Toorak, really hard to get to, long lines, girl bouncer? Any takers?
You might not remember because in spite of the very steep entry price the drinks were very reasonable. You might remember getting lost because there was about 65 (three) levels and a bazillion rooms and lots of stairs. There was also a big stage. Anyway, cherish those memories because Factory is no longer. Melbourne continues the trend of club purging and reincarnating them into fr3$hhh versions of their previous selves with the opening of The Ritz.
And (as if you would expect anything less from Toorak) it’s going to be real fancy like the real life Ritz. All cultured and junk, they even plan to play classical music from the now distant ’90s and ’00s. Will this hype deter patrons from getting buck wild and downright rowdy and oblige them to manage their drunken stupors with discretion like real high class people do? Find out on 22 November.
