Though it’s still a month away and none of us live in America, Halloween is fast approaching, so do you want a trick or a treat? I recommend Melbourne and Brisbane’s trick-or-treaters pick going to the Creepshow Halloween Festival; it’ll be a way better treat than any of your stingy neighbours will give you (if they’re generous enough to give you anything at all!)
Transforming each venue into a haunted mansion, Creepshow will have seductive burlesque dancers, (intentionally) creepy DJs and heaps of hardcore bands acting out all the horror movie cliches of getting unfortunates’ blood and guts bursting both literately and musically.
Being Halloween, of course Creepshow wants you to dress up in your spookiest costume. Make sure it is your most awesome costume; prizes will be handed out to those with the best costumes. Plus, if you wear something awesome, it’ll probably help you pick up!
The first Creepshow is in Melbourne, and it’s got a killer lineup:
Engine Three Seven
The Khyber Belt
Ten Thousand
Bronson
Over-Reactor
Anna Salen vs. Mario Bros
Sharaya
I Am Duckeye
Cloud City
Serial Killer Smile
Lebelle
Kettlespider
Massive
Arcane Saints
The Creptter Children
Death Of Art
Rocket Queen
Written In Ruins
They
Flight For Giants
The Mere Poets
Verona Lights
Pyrene
Phil Para Band
Though Brisbane will be a bit late in celebrating Halloween, it doesn’t really matter as no one in Australia really cares about this “holiday” anyway. But what they will care about is how Creepshow have put in the effort to get a completely different lineup for their Brisbane show, so no one can say Creepshow simply repeats itself:
The Kidney Thieves
Le Suits
Engine Three Seven
Arctic
Epidemic…Over
Bertie Page Clinic
Guards Of May
The Incredible Kicks
Cute Machines
The Pacconellies
8 Mile High DJs
BB Le Buff (burlesque performance)
Lila Luxx (burlesque performance)
The Bombshells (burlesque performance)
Magnolia Knife (burlesque performance)
Impressed? You should be. If you want to celebrate Halloween for the first time, then you might as well make a big thing of it and have a scarily top night.
