Released months earlier than in previous years, the 2013 line up for the mother of Australian music festivals The Big Day Out has been revealed. Though there aren’t as many Aussie acts on this year due to BDO’s cutting costs, it is still one heck of a line up.
If only the astronaut monkey who’s BDO’s mascot would really be there to be launched into space. Sure, it’d be going bananas and we’d lose our hearing from the incredibly loud noises of both the rocket launching and all the music, but it’d be truly awesome to watch. What a day that’d be, huh? We can only hope.

General admission tickets will only be $165, cheaper than it usually is, and for the first time there are also premium tickets that for $265. These tickets will let you act, to use BDO’s words, “Like A Boss” as they allow you all day pass outs, entry to the Boss Oasis and Cocktail Lounge, free coat check, lockers and phone charging station (for all those videos you’re going to film of your fav band playing), exclusive climate controlled toilets (instead of the gross toilet cubicles everyone else will be using), shaded lounge and much more. Tickets on sale on Thursday 19 July from 7pm at BDO’s website.
