After performing at the Sets On The Beach festival in Perth, Ballarat duo Yacht Club DJs will be touring across Oz with fellow Ballarat band Hunting Grounds. Their Facebook page describes the genre of music Yacht Club DJs plays as Rock/Dance/Pop/Metal/Cartoon. They sample songs from anyone like Katy Perry, Beastie Boys and Bon Jovi and mix them with their own original sounds. Quite a crazy mix!
Despite both bands being from Ballarat, their music couldn’t be any more different. Each show (except for Hobart and Canberra where Hunting Grounds won’t be performing) will start off with Hunting Grounds’ punk rock, the type that gets everyone jumping around and handbanging, a reminder of why live music still kicks arse. Then once Yacht Club DJs begin their set, all the headbangers will suddenly become ravers and singing along to all the chart toppers Yacht Club DJs are sampling. Sounds like a pretty top night!
Yacht Club DJs and Hunting Grounds are touring both major and smaller cities across the lucky country to show party-goers from city slickers to country folk a good time. Sweet! With tickets available at Oztix (except where noted), Yacht Club DJs will be playing at the following venues:
