Fathers Day is soon to arrive!

So it’s getting to that time of the year again…..time to whip out the credit card and hit many stores to end up finding nothing for dad.

Each year presents are getting harder and more expensive when it comes to Fathers Day!

But instead of buying dad the same old leather wallet or bottle of wine, try hitting up some websites that offer dinner and activities deals…something different and fun to do with dad this year.

Some great ones i find are great for affordable fun things dad will like are:

As well as these are many more sites offering deals, the great thing about these sites is that you can pick the date to go and they usual last for 12 months.

For all you Melbourne present buyers, here is a great site to find some Fathers Day goodies:

Melbourne’s Buskers Buffet

When it comes to buskers..Melbourne takes the cake.

The good, the bad and the robotic..Melbourne has it. I myself having studied in the center of Melbourne’s CBD at RMIT University regularly encountered a busker. Now working full time in Melbourne’s City i have pretty much have witnessed all of  Melbourne’s regular performers.

My final year of photography at University i chose to focus on the buskers of Melbourne, not only was this a great excuse for getting out of class to roam Melbourne’s city but also gave me a great insight to the art form and talent that lies on Melbourne’s Pavement.

From Monday to Sunday you may find yourself a busker; a great night to head out and experience the ‘buskers bonanza’ are the weekends. Friday & Saturday night live music and painters/ sketchers are at every street corner; Sunday all day you’ll find entertainment everywhere whilst you relax with a latte in one hand and the Herald Sun in the other….what can beat that?

Buskers Hot Spots:

* Bourke Street

* Vic Market

* Swanstown Street

* Flinder Station & Federation Square

Not only do these talented people face the unpredictability of Melbourne’s weather but they provide a great atmosphere and entertainment for anyone who cares to stop and watch.

A typical Melbourne house party

It seems only yesterday that Corey Worthington graced Australia with his yellow sunglasses and nipple piercings.

Making both Australian news as well as international news, Corey simultaneously amused many teenagers and pissed off many parents with his ‘open’ house party. When Corey’s parents went away Corey sure did play…play with five hundred other 16 year olds who he invited over an open facebook event. Cops, underage drinking, damaged cars and yelling neighbors all headlining this party.

But note i do not promote parties causing $20,000 of damages but i won’t lie after watching this news interview i  cannot help but laugh at Corey’s blasse’ responses and refusal to remove his sunnies.

By the way not all Melbourne kids dress like this

Teaching Time

1. Trying to sneak booze into an event…my favorite is the Trojan Horse

2. Turning beer into cocktails…that taste like spaghetti Os mmm mmm

3. How to look like you can dance…no dry humping!

Melbourne Flashes!

When it comes to flash mobs, Melbourne is right up there!

One minute your ordering your usual skim latte and the next your dancing in the street by an array of people also putting to use their practicing dance moves.

Anytime of the day in any place; even a library is unsafe when it comes to flash mobs.

But one thing we all know it that when a flash mob appears, the best thing to do is secure a great viewing spot and whip out the iphone camera.

Here how Melbourne does it best!

for more info on being part of the next Melbourne flash mob try:
