Nightclubbing is meant to be a fun outing every week for young adult to go out and let their hair down and have fun. However, nightclubs are commonly seen as places to meet people or ‘hook-up’ with someone new. Does this mean that if you are in a relationship that clubbing could be off limits? Or should you club as a couple?
What a burst of fruitful flavours and inspiring colours this weekend’s Gold Coast Food and Wine Expo was. Seeing so many uniquely traditional businesses all showcasing their talent created the feeling of tranquillity, or maybe it was just all the wine tasting that creating a bubbly atmosphere. The event consisted of 3 days of gourmet food, wine and celebrity chefs. The event was described as a food fantasy and an explosion of tastebuds by various people that attended the event on Sunday morning.
Why are girls the first to start a dance on the empty dance floor? Are females just genetically programmed to be the life of the party or are we just more outgoing than men? Why aren’t men dominant on the dance floor if they dominate almost everything else in life?
When you’re out hitting the clubs, there is nothing worse than getting followed around by a guy that is nice, but way too keen. If you are not interested in him and you try to drop a few hints but nothing works, than there is a full-proof way to ensure that you don’t waste your night dodging a guy. A casual conversation may seem effortless with the girls and the topics are very generic, but when it comes to the guys, having a chat at the pub, there is a lot more depth to their conversations.
1. Do not drink with people you don’t trust, or who you have had issues with previously.
Giving someone the opportunity to embarrass, harass or take advantage of you can be heightened when you’re intoxicated. This includes drinking with your ex-partner. Issues can arise from being drunk and in the same club as someone that you have previously had feelings for.
Things are pretty easy for the guys at clubs. They look good without too much effort and pick up the chicks all of the time, using one liners to woo them. The ‘how to pick up a girl’ gene is genetically programmed into most guys.
We all have our limits when it comes to alcoholic drinks. Knowing when to stop drinking is mandatory before you embarrass yourself, harass others, throw up or get yourself into trouble. Sometimes it is best not to cross the line between tipsy to drunk and disorderly. In the interest of safety and respect for the law, it is best to have at least one semi-sober friend too.
Is it really appropriate to chat about work outside of business hours? Is it smart to mix business with pleasure?
Some conversations should be left at home it in the office, because they certainly do not belong at the club.
