If your long weekend was anything like mine, you will be feeling slightly like poo on this cold winter Tuesday. If you don’t, then you’ve wasted your long weekend until October. While being able to party an extra day on the weekend is fab, it can take a toll on your body especially in winter. Here are my tips for recovery for you four day week.
1. Sleep
Yes I know, sleep is for the weak. But I’ll admit, I’m weak if I get to sleep extra time and erase those eye bags that have crept out over the late nights. Besides, how often do you get to sleep in or all day on a Monday?
2. Hydrate And Moisturise
Yes, obviously, blah blah boring. I know. But especially with winter, our skin is ridiculously dehydrated. Combine cold with alcohol and it is one flaky concoction for your skin. Not only is it uncomfortable, but do you really want to walk into work on Tuesday with flaky skin and dry lips? Not to mention your appeal to the opposite sex immediately drops when your skin isn’t smooth.
3. Cocoon
Seriously, it’s cold. It’s time for blankets and pyjamas to create enough warmth to try and counteract how cold you were while you were out on the town on the weekend. Yes, of course you didn’t notice because the alcohol was pulling the wool over your eyes, but definitely not over your shoulders. Don’t get sick and ruin your upcoming weekend.
4. Eat
Don’t know if anyone vomited on the weekend, but even if you didn’t, you gotta eat. Big breakfasts and anything that tickles your fancy especially comfort foods to nurse that hangover and keep you warm in your cocoons.
5. Follow Up
Ensure that all embarrassing photos put on Facebook are untagged so that evil work colleges cannot comment on how your underwear was showing in fifty percent of photos.
