Review of Death Valley

Written by James Breene

Deep in suburbia along the Morningside shopping strip lies Death Valley, a hole-in-the-wall craft beer bar that caters to locals and newcomers looking for something out of the ordinary and out of the City-Valley nexus. The bar has carved an identity in the local community by attracting customers of all ages since opening in February this year for beer festival Brewsvegas. Whether you’re looking for an exceptional beer, a game of pinball or a hearty meal from the Red Robbin Supper Truck out back, Death Valley has you covered.

Clad in moody lighting, original art, and friendly and knowledgeable staff, Death Valley offers a place to chill out and enjoy the atmosphere, try a new brew, and satisfy your palate. Every aspect of the venue, from the crafted timber wall-hung tables to the car bench seat in the corner, shouts creative thinking and good times. Customers have the option of sitting inside near the vibrant pinball machines and neon lit bar or kicking back on the deck outside. Haunted summer camp act as the visual inspiration for this spooky fun addition to the suburban bar scene.

The bar is open Wednesday through to Sunday. Wednesdays are perfect for quieter socialising while Thursday and Friday nights rev up for more serious fun. Sundays you can fill up on dollar wings, a great way to wrap up the week.
