Looking for Brisbane's best mid-week party? Look no further than Uber Bar's Whatever Wednesdays. The trip across the river is well worth it if you're more inclined to visit the city or Valley; this is a cocktail bar and lounge with more spirit than a cheerleader and this is where all the cool kids go to party when the stress of Monday and Tuesday has all become a bit too much!
With free entry every night (open Wednesday through Saturday) and pumping beats from some of Brisbane's best known local acts as well as some massive international artists, as soon as you climb the stairs and enter you are transported to a sphere where no one has a care in the world. With two rooms rocking the venue, sit back, relax and unwind to the classic tunes of the cocktail lounge, and while you're there it's a must to try at least one of the tantalising cocktail creations the talented mixologists will whip up for you from the four yummy menus. Looking to come alive? Then step into the Main Room and dance the night away to the banging beats of the uber cool resident djs spinning an eclectic mix of house, electro, hip hop, soul and funk.
Located in the creative hub of West End, and oozing a relaxed, yet sophisticated charm, Uber is migrated upon by the masses each and every week. On a Wednesday you'll typically find the students who party til the crack of dawn. But don't expect a certain "type" of crowd - with such a warm and friendly atmosphere, everyone is welcome! There is no specific dress code, but it's West End so dress to impress (which doesn't necessarily mean in your Sunday best!)
Decked out with super stylish lounges that are comfortable enough to kick back on all night if that's your thing, there really is something for everyone at Uber, with ambient purple and red lighting that is both flattering and forgiving.
It's an unassuming place, which gets totally packed out, so grab a couple of mates and get ready for a serious dose of good times!
