From humble beginnings as a 2 room club, The Beat has grown into a mega club over the last few years. There is something for every acquired taste at the Beat where you can enjoy a well balanced dance music diet; music on offer ranges from Happy Hardcore, Hard House, Hard Trance, Retro to Commercial Gay anthems. There are 5 rooms to dance your pants off in, 6 bars to quench your well deserved thirst and 3 courtyards to sit back, chill-out and talk to randoms, which believe me there are a lot of.
The Beat is open 7 days per week and generally you will have to pay a cover charge if you arrive after 10pm. The main room boasts Brisbane's hardest dance tracks and you won't find pants as phat as these anywhere else in town. Check out the Cockatoo Club upstairs for one of Brisbane's long standing gay clubs, as well as the other bars and rooms which each have their own distinct style. Be on the look-out for hourly drag queen performances in the main room and upstairs on weekends as well as many other promotions on offer. One of the Valley's long standing dance clubs, this is not a place for the faint of heart, although you will be a little faint of hearing after a night out here.
