We all love the good fun and games of clubbing, and the folks at Indeedy Inc. have taken that several dancing steps further. Their international party night Indeedy Music Bingo was born in New York and exploded beyond expectations, and now Indeedy Inc. have brought their game to Australia.
The great debate of craft beer vs. manufactured beer has raged on for the good part of four years or since One Fifty Lashes was released into the market in 2011. Once upon a time, pubs and bottle-os only stocked the great goodness of tins red, gold and blue and bottles with unique caps containing questions that will forever remain unanswered. For many of us, our Leavers week was the first introduction that we had to nightlife, partying and heavy alcohol consumption. Some of us remember it with fondness, others less so. There are also those of us who can’t remember it at all. For the young and young at heart, Leavers is indeed a kind of religious pilgrimage and a right of initiation.
We all cop those dreary sort of days when we’re feeling unmotivated and way too tired to dress up, let alone actually leave the house to go out to a nightclub or bar. Life isn’t about solutions, but trade offs. Nowhere are we better able to analyse this predicament than when we ask ourselves the question of “when”? When is it time to depart the bar stand, or the dance floor? When is it time to exercise self-restraint? When is it time to call it a night?
Story of every clubber’s life: having to come up with a way to nicely let down that guy who’s damn persistent. I like to call them ‘stage five clingers’, and I believe that should become an actual dictionary term because some people can be overly obsessive. Stage five clingers will usually shower you with ridiculous pick-up lines and wreak of desperation, and their clinginess knows no bounds.
Melbourne’s bar scene is renowned throughout the bar scenes of both Australia and the world, and for good reason. One man across the globe who certainly noticed this was Reg Ridealgh, a London bartender who moved to Melbourne and now calls it home. His years of being a bartender inspired him to open his own bar in St Kilda called Love & Dysfunction.
If you are attempting to plan a hen’s night, here is one important tip: IT IS NOT LIKE THE MOVIES! You will not be kidnapping the bride and taking her to a strip show. Sorry to disappoint you.
