We all know that Australia reaches ridiculous heat in the summer time. Nights are muggy and hot and nightclubs are worse with sweat dripping from every part of the human body. It’s almost impossible to keep cool when clubbing in summer, but we sure as hell are going to try.
1. Wear Less Clothing
Yes, it’s an obvious one, but a crop top and skirt can make a huge difference in the cooling department. Yeah, you might sweat on people and people might sweat on you, but you won’t be able to tell who’s sweat it is, so it probably won’t matter. Less clothing is also handy for when you want to rub an ice cube on your stomach or back to cool down without having to go outside.
2. Wear Less Makeup
Stay away from the full face of foundation. It doesn’t matter how bad you look without it, that shit is going to sweat off and look worse. Patchy foundation that is melting down your face is harder to wipe away than just sweat. Make sure you use waterproof eyeliner and mascara, otherwise you’ll find it on your chin and there will be no boys around you.
3. Dance Near The Fans
There may or may not be fans or air con, but try to stay near them. I know most people will be trying to do that, but secure a spot and enjoy the two degrees cool down.
4. Try Outside Bars
Why not just stay away from the dingy, basement clubs and go drinking outside. You can bar hop along Darling Harbour or visit Ivy’s pool.
5. Ditch Clubbing
Opt for a house party with a pool if possible. Floating around on pool toys at sunset with a strong drink in hand sounds much more enjoyable than swimming in other people’s sweat.
