Winter sucks. It’s cold, frosty and the flu spreads like crazy. A mere sneeze is enough to set off the alarm bells to thinking that you’ll be bedridden in a few days time. People also go out less because of the crappy weather. But there’s one place you really shouldn’t skip going to this winter: the gym.
Yes, all those treadmills, dumbbells, machines and even medicine balls will mean you’re going to (or should) give your body the workout it needs and will feel absolutely buggered afterwards. Though I’m sure many of you will use excuse after excuse to get out of it, it’s really not that bad! If anything, exercising is a rewarding experience that not only makes you feel good physically, but mentally as well (if not more so), because you know you are one day closer to getting to your goal weight. If you ask me, the real hard part is watching what you eat! Those pesky kebabs and cheeseburgers are evil temptresses!
Anyway, what does working out have to do with clubbing? Working out regularly will tone your body and make you look good, and the best thing to have if going out to pick up is having a rocking body. For better or worse, appearances do count in the clubbing world, so you might as well have the best body you can.
But why is winter such a great time to start working out? Summer is nearly six months away, and that’s plenty of time for you to start training and look awesome by the time December 1st comes around. Gyms actually tend to be quieter during winter than other times of the year, simply because everyone’s using the cold weather as an excuse to stay home and bludge. Does it not occur to these people that gyms have heating? Point being, you should take advantage of the gym’s dead period as there’s less people around, therefore more exercise equipment will be free for you to use whenever you want.
Hopefully you will have your exercises down pat by the time winter ends, because when spring starts, peeps tend to flock back to the gym. And why is that? Because it’s warmer. And what comes after spring that’s not warm, but hot? Summer! Everyone raves about summer, because of the beautiful weather, the festivities, the parties, and getting to strut their stuff at beaches and music festivals. You can be shirtless or wear bikinis at these places to look good in order to pick up. One fundamental difference between humans and animals is that mating season for pretty much all non-human creatures is spring, but for us, it’s summer baby!
Whether you want to lose weight or build muscle in order to be attractive depends on your body obviously, but if I were you, make up your mind on what you want your body to be quick smart. Granted, summer’s half a year away, but the body does not work as fast as our minds do! Watching the body transform is like watching paint dry at a snail’s pace, a bloody slow and boring process! So what are you waiting for, go work that body out! What else would you do besides shivering at home, complaining about the cold? Think about when it’s hot, because you will look hot!
