Held in beautiful, picturesque parklands of Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, Harvest Festival is in only its second year, yet has still managed to get a top lineup to get everyone grooving. With both international and Aussie acts performing out in the outer suburbs of Oz’s major cities that are barely part of the cities, getting such internationally renown acts to play in the country is pretty cool.
Here’s the 2012 lineup:
Beck
Sigur Ros
Mike Patton’s Mondo Cane
Grizzly Bear
Ben Folds Five
Silversun Pickups
Beirut
Santigold
Cake
The Dandy Worhols
Dexys
The Black Angels
Chromanitcs
Crazy P
Ozomatli
Lairs
Fuck Buttons
Los Campesinos!
The War On Drugs
Dark Dark Dark
River City Extension
Dark Horses
Winter People
Unfortunately the first Melbourne show on Sunday 11 November has already sold out, but a second show was announced due to popular demand, so any Melbournians who haven’t gotten their tix yet can do so and enjoy such a top gig.
Tix for Harvest Festival can be purchased at their website, and dates and venues for all the shows around Australia are below:
Melbourne: Saturday 10 November at 11am, Werribee Park, K Road, Werribee
Sydney: Saturday 17 November at 11am, Parramatta Park, Parramatta
