If you know where to go on a Saturday night, chances are you can make a celeb sighting or two on our very own soil. The following bars and nightclubs have hosted the likes of top notch celebrities on their escapades across our rich Australian landscape.

Marquee Nightclub, Sydney- appearances by Paris Hilton, Nick and Vanessa Lachy and Joe Jonas
The opening of Sydney’s newest nightclub ‘Marquee’ drew in the Heiress of Hilton- Paris herself. While her stop by was successful, organisers began to wonder whether the people were there to see Paris or Sydney. Nick Lachey, Vanessa Lachey and Joe Jonas also joined the line up.

Boutique Nightclub, Melbourne- appearances by Molly Meldrum, Ruby Rose
Boutique is regularly frequented by our favourite music journalist Molly Meldrum while Ruby Rose often fills the late night DJ set close by. The pair are happy to pose for photos, although my own attempt at getting a journalism job with Molly didn’t get very far. I think he just needed another drink.

Nevermind, Sydney- appearances by Lady Gaga (2011)
Lady Gaga drove fans ‘gaga’ by appearing at Sydney’s own Nevermind nightclub during July of 2011- the star put up a poker face for the evening and even posed in photos for the bar’s website.

Love Machine, Melbourne- appearances by Katy Perry (2011)
After a stellar performance at the Australian Logies last year, Katy Perry partied on at Melbourne’s favourite queer friendly bar Love Machine. The star reportedly blended in among her fans, who were well and truly living a teenage dream.

Hotel Barkly, St Kilda, Melbourne- appearances by Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez (2012)
While Justin and Selena aren’t quite old enough to hit the town in the US, the pair took advantage of our lower drinking age whilst in Australia just last week. The pair were spotted at St Kilda’s Hotel Barkly- an obscure choice for the young duo.
