A destination of choice with Adelaide students and youth alike. With cocktails and DJs to make your respective senses go wild, when you aren't studying, you should be here. Even if you aren't out to have a big one (perhaps you have an exam the next day), you can drop by for a game of pool. Just beware they are full sized tables!!!

Review of Botanic Bar
Review By Shannon Kilgariff
The beautiful grape vines intertwined with the white lanterns creates a very attractive setting at the Botanic Bar. It is hard to resist the temptation to walk in when the outside area alone is so lively and stylish. With a fabulous atmosphere and great music there are very few Adelaide bars that can top the Botanic.
Situated on the corner of North Terrace and East Terrace, the Botanic Bar adds something a little different to Adelaide. It lies adjacent to Adelaide's Botanic Gardens and the incredible decorations reflect this theme throughout the Bar. With vines creeping in, out and around the huge liquor shelf and various pot plants scattered throughout, Botanic Bar has an awesome atmosphere. It is quite spacious with two bars to choose from. Large, wonderful artworks cover the bright red patterned walls, creating a very sophisticated environment. The many comfortable leather couches are perfect for sipping cocktails. Chandeliers and various other fancy lighting are spread throughout the bar and hang over a lovely marble bench top. If you're into pool, The Botanic Bar also has a great pool table but don't be put off by the size because it's huge!
Cocktails are a speciality at the Botanic. With a huge cocktail list as well as an enormous selection of spirits and liqueurs, you will find it hard to decide what to drink! The delicious cocktails usually range from around $14 to $22 and the base spirits are $8. There is also a large selection of wine and beers which start at around $6 for a pint. There is usually a variety of cocktail specials on the board including drinks such as Sangria which are $25 each. If you get there early, there is also amazing food including gourmet pizzas that are only $6 which go down very nicely with alongside a cocktail.
The Botanic opens at 4pm and is licensed to close at around 5 but depending on the crowd may close much earlier. The most popular nights are Fridays and Saturdays and it is closed on Mondays. It attracts a great, young crowd and university students are often found here. There is no entry fee, however there is sometimes a line up on a busy night. When going to the Botanic be aware that there is a dress code so make sure to dress appropriately. The music usually ranges from quite mainstream to something different, cool and funky. Botanic Bar is a fantastic place to eat, drink, dance and to enjoy your night.
